{"id":2061,"date":"2025-11-12T13:59:24","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T12:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expertdata.pl\/?p=2061"},"modified":"2025-11-12T14:12:59","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T13:12:59","slug":"registrations-of-new-trucks-and-semi-trailers-after-3-quarters-of-2025-in-the-european-union","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expertdata.pl\/en\/registrations-of-new-trucks-and-semi-trailers-after-3-quarters-of-2025-in-the-european-union\/","title":{"rendered":"Registrations of new trucks and semi-trailers after 3 quarters of 2025 in the European Union"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ACEA has published quarterly data on truck registrations in the European Union:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>225,483 units in 2025 vs. 249,844 units in 2024, representing a 9.8% year-on-year decline in registrations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric trucks: 8,583 units in 2025 vs. 5,205 units in 2024, representing an increase of 64.9% y\/y<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Growth leaders: Lithuania (+81.6%), Estonia (+8.4%) and Denmark (+5.9%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leaders in decline: Greece (-36.1%), the Netherlands (-27.5%) and Austria (-18.2%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Largest markets: Germany (57,434 units, -17.9%), France (33,222 units, -13.4%), Poland (21,695 units, +3.4%), Spain (20,927 units, -7.9%), Italy (20,823 units, -8%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Statistics indicate a continuing downward trend in new truck registrations in the European Union, and even the relatively stable situation in Poland is unable to change this. After three quarters of 2025, the decline is 9.8% y\/y, which, however, has decreased compared to the previous quarter, from 15.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New semi-trailer registrations show an improvement in most of the largest markets in the European Union compared to last year (up to and including September): in Poland +8.3%, in Italy +13.1% and in Spain +14.9%. Only Germany shows a significant loss of -13.2%, although this is also decreasing over time (data: Expertdata based on VDA and industry organisation statistics).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite clearly negative results in the truck sector, the situation is slowly beginning to stabilise. This is evidenced by decreasing losses month on month and positive results in semi-trailer registrations. However, this does not mean the end of the transport industry&#8217;s troubles and a return to purchasing. We will have to wait a little longer for that.
