{"id":1995,"date":"2025-08-01T17:25:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T15:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expertdata.pl\/?p=1995"},"modified":"2025-08-12T11:37:56","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T09:37:56","slug":"registrations-of-new-trucks-and-semi-trailers-in-h1-2025-in-the-european-union","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expertdata.pl\/en\/registrations-of-new-trucks-and-semi-trailers-in-h1-2025-in-the-european-union\/","title":{"rendered":"Registrations of new trucks and semi-trailers in H1 2025 in the European Union"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ACEA has just published quarterly data on truck registrations in the European Union:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>155,367 units in H1\/2025 vs. 183,668 units in H1\/2024, representing a 15.4% decline in registrations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leaders in decline: Greece (-44%), the Netherlands (-30.2%), Germany (-27.5%), Austria (-25.3%) and Finland (-23.2%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leaders in growth: Lithuania (+113.6%), Denmark (+10.1%), Estonia (+8.4%) and Luxembourg (+4.6%), which are the only countries with an increase in registrations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Largest markets: Germany (-30.2%), France (-18.8%), Italy (-13.3%), Spain (-13.6%), Poland (-3.3%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poland: 15,022 units in H1\/2025 vs. 15,541 units in H1\/2024, i.e. -3.3%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Statistics indicate a deterioration in the transport industry in the European Union. Apart from a few markets, there are significant declines in new truck registrations, resulting in a total decline of 15.4% year-on-year after the first half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The semi-trailer market is behaving a little more stably. Results up to and including June show an improvement in registrations in the large markets of Poland (+4.1% year-on-year), Italy (+9.7% year-on-year) and Spain (+2% year-on-year). In Germany, however, the largest market in Europe, there has been a decline of as much as 21.1% y\/y (data: Expertdata based on VDA and industry organisation statistics).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For now, it is difficult to predict a change in the trend in truck and semi-trailer sales at the end of 2025. The momentum of positive semi-trailer registration results is clearly weakening month by month.
