Q1\/2025 vs. 86,824 units. Q1\/2024, representing a 16% drop in registrations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leaders of the declines: Netherlands (-76.5%), Estonia (-54.3%), Lithuania (-30%), Slovakia (-29.1%), Slovenia (-29.1%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Growth leaders: Spain (+12.6%), Belgium (+11.2%), Finland (+10.2%), Hungary (+3.3%), Luxembourg (+3.1%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The largest markets apart from Spain and Poland scored declines: Germany (-10.7%), France (-10.7%), Italy (-15.2%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poland: 16,288 units. Q1\/2025 vs. 16,127 units. Q1\/2024, i.e. +1%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Statistics show a deterioration in the transport industry in the European Union. Except for a few markets, severe declines in new truck registrations dominate, giving an overall result that is 16% worse year-on-year after Q1. In doing so, it should be remembered that last year&#8217;s result was also weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The semi-trailer market is behaving a bit more steadily. Results up to and including March show improved registration performance in the large markets of Poland (+10.3% year-on-year), Italy (+6% y\/y) and Spain (+0.3% y\/y). In contrast, Germany, Europe&#8217;s largest market, is down as much as 26% y\/y (data: Expertdata based on VDA and statistics of industry organizations). Here, also, last year&#8217;s results were low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the time being, it is difficult to predict growth in truck and semi-trailer sales at the end of 2025. A good economy in Spain or Poland will not stop the downward trend. It also remains to be seen how long the positive performance in Poland will last.
